Be Patient During Healing

One of the biggest mistakes new piercing customers make is assuming that the piercing is healed because it no longer hurts.

Healing depends on the location, anatomy, jewelry, aftercare, and individual circumstances.

During recovery, avoid sleeping directly on a healing cartilage piercing. Keep headphones, helmets, clothing, and other objects from applying unnecessary pressure.

For oral piercings, follow instructions specific to the mouth and the jewelry. For navel piercings, be mindful of tight clothing and friction. For dermals, take particular care to prevent snagging.

If the jewelry becomes too tight, starts embedding, or causes significant irritation, seek prompt professional or medical advice as appropriate.
